日本人の琴線をこれでもかというくらい触れまくる、美しきパワーポップバンドThe Dent！1曲目The End Of The Worldのメロディーに胸を締めつけられない人なんていません。シルクのように柔らかく、優しく包まれるような幸せな気分にしてくれる歌声。映画のサントラのように叙情的なソングライティングはVertical Holizon、Elton John、Cheap Trick、Goo Goo Dollsなどと比べられていますが個人的には特有の土臭さがない分、このThe Dentの曲はすんなりと僕らの日常に溶け込んできます。他にアルバムが2枚出ていますが、なにより5曲収録で入手困難なこのEPを届けたいと思います。

The Dent, an art pop quartet from Connecticut, has been likened to a diverse array of artists ranging from Paul Simon to Cheap Trick to REM. And after 10 years of writing, recording, performing and maturing together, The Dent has culled their collective experiences and created their first masterpiece, "Farewell."
