Saint EtienneやHeavenlyのプロデューサーIan Cattを迎えたTrembling Blue Starsの最新作その名も「最後の聖夜」！バックトラックにストリングスやエレクトロニクスを大胆導入しつつも哀愁漂う、むちゃくちゃ切ないギターのアルペジオやメロディーは何も変わりません。たぶん彼らの曲に宿る歌心があまりにも普遍的なのでそう感じるのでしょう。そう、そして題名どおりなんとも神秘的なテーマがベーシックにある本作では雰囲気全体がブラックっぽく統一されたコンセプトアルバム。ほぼインストの曲なども収録されたりとその実験で水を得た魚のようにTBS節、さらにスパークしてます。
